MU | 巫 CURATES
MU is a New York–based curatorial duo dedicated to the study and presentation of performance, time-based media, and ephemeral practices within contemporary art. The collaborative proceeds from the understanding that performance exceeds its initial presentation, persisting and transforming through reiteration, documentation, and reenactment.
Founded by collaborators from Hong Kong and Korea, Mu works at the intersection of East Asian and broader diasporic artistic practices, with a sustained focus on performance, time-based media, and ephemeral forms. Mu understands diaspora not as fixed identity or geographic category but as a set of shifting relations produced through migration, historical rupture, and cultural translation, attending to how practices move across languages and geographies, and to the uneven conditions that determine their legibility, reception, and survival.
